Annette Charles

Annette CharlesAnnette Charles (March 5, 1948 – August 3, 2011) was an American actress best known for her role as Charlene “Cha Cha” DiGregorio in Grease. She made several appearances on television as well. Charles was born Annette Cardona in Los Angeles, California. Under that name, she was a speech professor at California State University, Northridge. She died on August 3, 2011, in Los Angeles due to complications from cancer.

Charles was hospitalized for pneumonia for about a month before passing away from complications as she battled cancer. Who was Annette Charles : Annette Charles was an actress known best for her performance as Cha Cha DiGregorio in the 1978 hit Grease.

She was born in LA in 1948, got her degree from NYU School of Social Work in 2001, and taught speech at California State University, Northridge.

While she appeared on numerous TV shows, including: The High Chaparral, The Flying Nun, Mod Squad, Bonanza, Banacek, Emergency!, Barnaby Jones, The Bionic Woman, Man from Atlantis, and The Incredible Hulk, she hadn’t acted since a role in a 1987 episode of Magnum P.I., though she did appear on a VH-1 Where are They Now? documentary in 2002.
